Naviance at West Seattle High School

Every year, WSHS students will complete several tasks through Naviance as part of their High School and Beyond Plan. These tasks include career and personality assessments, researching colleges, career exploration tools, and resume building. 

Students login to Naviance through Clever the student portal. 

Naviance is a great tool to create your post-high school plans. Your school counselors will have access to your results such as the careers and colleges you are interested in, and they will use your information to find resources and opportunities to help you towards your goals. For example, juniors will choose colleges they are interested in and your counselors will invite those admissions reps to WSHS for you all to meet.

Please be sure to visit your counselor’s Schoology page to learn more about your High School and Beyond Plan.

  1. Log in to the Clever Student Portal
  2. Select Naviance
  3. To find out what you still need, scroll down on the Naviance home page and you will see your remaining tasks under Important To-Dos and Tasks

Course Planner

Here you will review the courses you have taken and ensure you understand graduation requirements.

  1. Log in to the Clever Student Portal
  2. Select Naviance
  3. In the top-right corner, select About Me > Surveys from Your School
  4. Click Course Planner Exit Ticket

Personality Works

Here you will do career inventories to help identify possible next steps.

Directions on how to complete the personality task in Naviance

  1. Log in to the Clever Student Portal
  2. Select Naviance
  3. In the top-right corner, select Self-Discovery > Personality
  4. Click Start Assessment

Upload/Create Resume

If you already have a resume you can use one you already have.

Create a Resume in Naviance

  1. Log in to the Clever Student Portal
  2. Select Naviance
  3. Click Planner > Tasks
  4. Select Tasks Assigned to Me
  5. Click Create/Update Resume
  6. Click the + sign and choose a category to add to your resume
  7. Repeat until all the portions of the resume have been added

Upload an Existing Resume to Naviance

  1. Log in to the Clever Student Portal
  2. Select Naviance
  3. Click My Planner and then go to Tasks
  4. Click Tasks Assigned to Me
  5. Click Create/Update Resume
  6. Click on the bottom that says Drop files or click to browse
  7. Attach Resume
  8. Message your WSHS Counselor to let them know it is complete.
