Level Up: Youth & Young Adult Conference– The Y Social Impact Center is hosting our 6th annual Level Up: Youth & Young Adult Conference on Friday, August 7th at our Matt Griffin YMCA branch. Level Up is a high-energy, full-day conference designed to equip youth and young adults with real-world skills, leadership development, and hands-on learning opportunities. The event features a dynamic mix of workshops and an engaging resource fair that brings together public and private partners—including employers, educators, and service providers.

Last year, we welcomed more than 125 participants. This year, we’re expanding our workshops and growing the resource fair to include more trade-focused employers, apprenticeship programs, and speakers who reflect the rich multicultural diversity of our community. Level Up is 100% free for participants. They will receive free give aways, a chance to win raffle prizes, and free lunch from one of the food trucks available.

Summer Youth Ambassador Program– students ages 13–18 can gain meaningful volunteer experience, service-learning opportunities and leadership development. Participants earn 25+ community service hours, build leadership skills, strengthen college applications, and make a positive impact in their communities through shoe collection and donation. Our program is free, fully online, offered year-round, and requires no prior experience.
