Welcome to the West Seattle HS Library

Our WSHS Library is a place and a program where the whole Wildcat community can come together to learn, read, think, explore, be inspired, be curious, and experience a sense of joy and belonging.


West Seattle HS Library Hours

  • Before School: 8:15-8:50 a.m.
  • During classes/advisory individual students can come with a signed note from a teacher.
  • During lunch 
  • After school: 3:40-4:15 p.m.
    • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays

How to Place a Hold on a Book

To place a hold:

  1. Go to the West Seattle High School Library Catalog.
  2. Students log in using their district username and password.
  3. Find the book, eBook or audiobook you’d like to check out and click “hold.”
  4. Your book will be delivered to you in class, or you can pick up your book in the library at your convenience!
  5. Couldn’t find a title in our catalog? Suggest a book to be added to the WSHS library.

Did you know? All WSHS students have automatic access to digital materials e-books, downloadable audiobooks, comics, and more through the Seattle Public Library’s Library Link partnership! This is in addition to their personal library card — students are already automatically signed up. 

How Students Log in to Library Link:

All students have full access using their student ID.

  • Barcode: 990000 + 7-digit student ID number (13 digits total)
  • PIN: four digit of birthday mmdd (example: March 28 is 0328)
