Summer internships, summer camps, and volunteer opportunities

Summer Camps & Programs

Seattle Children’s Nurse Camp– During this five-day camp, students will gain insight into the world of pediatric nursing by participating in clinical observation sessions. In these sessions, students will shadow nurses in a clinical environment and observe as they provide patient care and interact with patients and families. Camp dates: July 13-17, 2026. Seattle Children’s Mental & Behavioral Health Camp – During this five-day camp, students will explore careers within the mental & behavioral health field. By participating in hands-on skills and observing the day-to-day workflow of professionals, students will gain insight into various roles within pediatric mental health. Camp dates: July 27-31, 2026. Seattle Children’s Scrubs & Scopes Camp – During this five-day camp, students will explore various allied health careers by job shadowing medical assistants, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and technicians/technologists in Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgery, Sterile Processing and Anesthesia in a clinical environment, observing as they provide patient care. Camp dates: Aug. 10-14, 2026. Global Citizen Summer Language Program – Do you know a current 8-12 grade student that would like to learn Arabic or Korean this summer? Dates: July 6-July 31 (Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Location: Summit Sierra School, Seattle. Cost: $25 (Includes 20 days of classes, workshops, field trips, and daily catered lunch!) Sign up before May 31st to lock in your spot!

Puget Sound Skills Center 2026 Summer Session – PSSC summer school applications are now open for current 8th–11th grade students. The program will run from June 29 through July 17, with no school on July 3. Daily hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please note that students may not miss more than one day in order to receive credit. Seattle Skills Center Summer ProgramIntroductory Classes: Summer Skills Center classes are introductory versions of what we typically offer during the school year. Classes are available to incoming 9th-12th grade Seattle Public Schools students. These free Skills Center summer classes provide students the chance to earn a .5 CTE credit this summer and explore college and career options.

Internships

Washington Neurodiversity Project – a private foundation based in Seattle, is looking for autistic and ADD/ADHD youth aged 18 to 21 who are interested in a supported 4-week paid internship at South Seattle College library in West Seattle. Please contact Executive Director, Laurie Ackles at laurie@waneurodiversityproject.org for more information about eligibility.

Arts Corpspaid arts internship for Youth 15-19 during summer break from July 6th – July 18th. It is beginner level and no experience is required. Students are paid $300 for participating. The Art 4 life @ CAM internship offers skill building in a variety of traditional mediums, including drawing, printing, collaging, and more. Apply Here: https://www.tfaforms.com/5221283

Pre-College Programs

It is not too late for your students to apply for our Pre-College Programs. As a reminder our priority application deadline is (for non arts programs) April 25, 2026. The application will remain open until all spots are full. Students can start their Seattle University free application today.
