This Week and Next
Important Meeting Tonight!
Tonight there will be a meeting to discuss the transportation issues affecting our students.
Our student athletes currently have to leave school at 1pm for away events because of the Seattle School Districts transportation plan. This means they have to be dismissed at 12:45pm missing all of 5th and 6th periods, lunch and part of 4th period as well. This is unacceptable and we need to do something about this.
The West Seattle Booster Club invites you to join us in taking our concerns to the Seattle School Board. We are inviting families, staff, PTSA, Booster Clubs, and community members from all of the Seattle High Schools to join our efforts.
During the meeting we will learn more about these issues, discuss our plans moving forward, and coordinate our actions for the School Board meeting we will attend as a group. Please join us. The more voices they hear, the higher the impact.
Join us for Curriculum Night this THURSDAY!
Curriculum Night will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 6:30- 8:30 pm. As you arrive, please come to the Commons where you can pick up your student’s schedule and a map of the building. In the Commons, you will be able to connect with other families, administration, counselors and other school support staff as well as purchase spirit gear, join PTSA, and buy auction and raffle tickets. Ms. Klein's Culinary Arts students will serve treats, coffee, and cold drinks as parents mingle. Starting at 6:55, you will experience the school day by going to your student's first period class. 6th period will end at 8:30 - the end of the evening. This is a great opportunity for you to meet teachers and administration and learn about the curriculum of your student's classes. See you there!
