    Tips for WSHS Parents:

    Athletics: Athletic Information (sports/coaches/schedules, etc.) can now be found on the Metro League Website.

    Attendance:  Students are expected to be in school and in class daily. Punctual attendance is the first requirement for success - both here and in the “real” world.

    A large part of your learning takes place during class discussions and participation. Many of our teachers use project based learning methods and if you are absent, not only do you miss out on the learning, but any group you are working in is affected.

    Daily student bulletin: The Daily Student Bulletin is a resource for students to stay up to date on the happenings at WSHS.

    Nutrition Services: Seattle Public Schools Nutrition Services department recognizes the important connection between a healthy diet and student's ability to learn effectively and achieve high standards in school.

    Nutrition Services fuels over 17,250 student lunches and 6,400 breakfasts each day and adheres to the highest level of national nutrition standards and provides many locally sourced fruits, vegetables and beans daily.

    PTSA: The West Seattle High School PTSA invites you to join us and help create a forum for parents, students, and teachers to work together towards the common goal of improving the school for all students, families and staff!

    Transportation: The Seattle Public Schools Transportation Department provides yellow bus, door-to-door, Metro, and cab service to a variety of students attending Seattle Public Schools and Head Start.
