Where? West Seattle High School Library, 3000 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116

When? Thursday, May 19 at 6:00pm

Who can attend? All are welcome – parents, students and teachers are encouraged to attend!

Panelists? WSHS Students; this event is sponsored by Neighborcare Health at WSHS School-based Health Center (SBHC) and the WSHS Student Health Council

Why? Are you an adult who wants to learn about ways to talk to your teen about difficult emotions or issues? These WSHS students want to increase awareness and engage in a dialogue with the adults in their lives about mental health from the adolescent perspective. A student panel will address a broad range of topics such as anxiety, stress, depression, emotions, and their relationships with parents and teachers. A mental health counselor from Neighborcare Health at WSHS will be available to guide the discussion about the teenage brain and Adverse Childhood Experiences. For more info contact Johanna Fischer, Health Center Coordinator, Neighborcare Health at WSHS, at JohannaF@neighborcare.org or 206-658-8048.
