Welcome back to school from your Teen Health Center!
At WSHS, we are very lucky to have a Neighborcare School-based Health Center, located in room 127, the same office as the School Nurse. We are a full scale primary care clinic that can serve as your main health care home, or as a complement to your regular doctor. A great option for parents who can’t take off work to bring their child to the doctor, for kids who feel sick in school, for getting your immunizations right in the building and for free, and much more - our goal is to keep WSHS students healthy, happy, and learning in school!
The School-Based Health Center also offers a full range of medical and mental health services from our Nurse Practitioner, Mental Health Therapists, and other staff, including:
Preventive health care
Asthma, allergy and skin care
Health insurance eligibility
Mental Health Counseling for common issues such as depression or anxiety
Naturopaths from Bastyr University
Coordination of care with community providers
Community and school-based referrals
Students must be registered by a parent or guardian to receive the full scope of services. Paperwork can be found in the beginning of the year packets or on the WSHS website (http://westseattlehs.seattleschools.org/services/neighborcare_health_centre) and should be returned to the main office or the Health Center in room 127.
For more information about our services, see our website (http://www.neighborcare.org/clinics/neighborcare-health-west-seattle-high-school), or call, email or stop by.
