PTSA Meeting and Drug Use Parent Program - Tuesday

PTSA MeetingThe WSHS PTSA is hosting an important Drug Use parent program at the next general meeting on Tuesday, March 28 at 7PM in the library. Research shows that early drug use increases the chances of addiction and harm to adolescent brain development. Washington State laws related to drugs and alcohol have changed, and youth are struggling to understand why they should remain drug-free in an environment with increased availability and normalized use. Many parents are finding it difficult to keep their children safe, healthy, and drug free. This session reviews local substance use data from the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey, new marijuana laws and products, educational programs, resources, and strategies for coaching your child through this challenging landscape. We hope to see you there!

Booster Club Meeting - Next Tuesday

Westside Drama Production of Bonnie & Clyde - begins this week!

Bonnie & ClydeJoin us for a thrilling musical with a non-traditional score combining blues, gospel and rockabilly music. At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless and alluring, the Tony-nominated Bonnie & Clyde, from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Civil War, Dracula) is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country. When Bonnie and Clyde meet, their mutual craving for excitement and fame immediately sets them on a mission to chase their dreams. Their bold and reckless behavior turns the young lovers' thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo's fame grows bigger, their inevitable end draws nearer.

Tickets are $10 with reservation, $15 at the door. For reservations, email Mar 30, 21, April 1, 5-7. There will be a special performance on April 1st to raise funds for musical rights, costumes, props and building supplies.
